FOCC Medway

Area: The charity is based in Cliffe, with host families in Cliffe, Cliffe Woods Medway Towns and Gravesend.

The Medway Group was founded in 2002 when we brought 20 needy children over from Gomel, in Belarus. A new group of 14 children from the Mogilev and Gomel regions made their first trip in the summer of 2007.  During their month’s stay, each child visits a dentist and optician and takes home with them a year’s supply of vitamins to supplement their meagre diets back in Belarus.
Although the aim of the visit is to improve their health, the children have a month of fun, partaking in many activities and outings. They go home with happy memories and the knowledge that there are people in England that love and care for them.
