Friends of Chernobyl's Children

Area: The South Lakes group is based in Nether Kellet on the edge of the Lake District just 20 minutes drive away from the beautiful Lakes and countryside.

This year, 2009, 18 children arrived 13th July till 10th August 2009. We have host families around Kendal, Allithwaite, Carnforth, Nether Kellet, Bolton-le-Sands, Morecambe and Heysham. If you wish to become a host family or help with the group, please contact Denise Bennett using the options shown above.

The Friends of Chernobyl's Children, South Lakes began in 1995 and has brought 18 children over, from Mogilev, each year since then.

This year, 2006, the children are due to arrive on 31st July and will be with us until 28th August. We have host families around Kendal, Arnside, Carnforth, Nether Kellet, Lancaster, Bentham and Morecambe.
